Our chosen hotel is located some 25 north of Luxembourg City. The venue is featured in the December edition of Miscellany and held the 40th anniversary celebrations for the Morgan Club in Luxembourg. From Calais it is 244 miles (4 hours 11 mins) so whilst you may stop en route if you wish, the location is quite reachable within 1 day for Folkmog Members.

Whilst Folkmog visited Luxembourg some 8 years ago, the unique location of the hotel means 4 countries are easily accessible for our days out - Belgium to the north, Germany to the east, Luxembourg itself to the south and France to the west. Over the coming months suggested days out will be put together with the following examples already being considered:
* The stunning Ardennes forest region including a visit to Dinant a mediaeval town with the further option of a river trip.
* The Moselle Valley, famous for its vineyards and a visit to the Unesco world Heritage town of Trier. Also the beautiful town of Bernkastle for those wishing to go a bit further.
* A visit to Vianden Castle and then onwards to the City of Luxembourg. Tour of Luxembourg City by hop on hop off bus or mini train or guided walking tour.
* The medieval town of Echternach (Unesco) combined with a visit to the Mullertahal Schiessentumpel (little Switzerland) area with caves, waterfalls and rock formations.
Much more to see and do including Spa F1 circuit and town, Verdun and its WWW1 sites, Schengen, Metz, Castles and other ancient monuments.
